How to be successful writer

To provide a good argument one must use strategies in order to attract the audience to the topic and keep them interested in the subject. The first step that one can take into consideration is assessing the audience: determine who is your audience and what expectations the listeners have and what are their opinions on the topic. Audiences play a major role in determining the success of the presentation. To provide for a good audience, the writer must identify the demographics of the listeners. For example, a presentation that is being delivered to adults is different from one that is presented for children, even if it discusses the same topic. Become familiar with your audience and their types of opinions towards related subjects to deliver a clear message. The second strategy is to choose media to fit your subject and how to present along with your subject such as graphs, presentation slides, and posters. A great form of presentations are pictures and videos to send a message to the audience and support your claims. People are genuinely accustomed to visual texts, making it a major tool to attract the audience to the information. Also, the writer must provide media that will be seen and understood by the audience. For example: a picture with a caption to explain the elements of the picture, graph, or presentation. Last but not least, the final strategy is a strong introduction and conclusion to catch the audience’s attention and focus on the subject. Listeners and readers remember the beginnings and ends best. To achieve that, the writer must include a puzzling statement, a good thesis, a powerful quotation, or a strong visual image. The introduction must clearly explain what the argument and the presentation will cover. The conclusion must bring closure to the audience and sum up your points or provide a final perspective on the topic. In conclusion, public presentations require engaging the audience through providing them with useful visual aids and attention-grabbing beginnings and endings.
